The Fifth International School on Advanced Materials (InSAM’5)
Welcome to the Fifth International School on Advanced Materials (InSAM’5) for Environment & Health May 20-22, 2026 Faculty of Sciences Agadir (FSA) Agadir, Morocco
in cooperation with The Executive Committee of ISyDMA & Green Moroccan Foundation
We are pleased to welcome you to InSAM’5, the Fifth International School on Advanced Materials, dedicated to the theme “Advanced Materials and Biomaterials for Environmental and Health Applications," which will be organized during May 20-21, 2026 in Agadir, Morocco, by the Faculty of Sciences of Ibnou Zohr University of Agadir, in collaboration with the Board and the Executive Committee of the International Symposium on Dielectric Materials and Applications (ISyDMA) and the Green Moroccan Foundation.
The InSAM School serves as a platform for early-career researchers, PhD students, and professionals to engage with leading experts and explore the latest advances in innovative materials that address pressing environmental and healthcare challenges. The first two editions of the series — the First Moroccan School on Advanced Materials (MoSSAM’1), held at the Faculty of Sciences Semlalia, Marrakech (April 15–17, 2018), and the Second Moroccan School on Advanced Materials (MoSSAM’2), organized at the Moroccan Foundation for Advanced Science, Innovation and Research (MAScIR), Rabat (June 24–25, 2019). Beginning with the third edition, the event adopted the new name International School on Advanced Materials (InSAM), reflecting its growing international scope and impact.
The third edition took place in Ouarzazate, Morocco (May 2–4, 2023), followed by the fourth edition hosted by Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P), Benguerir (May 5–6, 2025). All those schools were highly successful, bringing together numerous young researchers.
InSAM’5 balances theory and hands-on insights into the synthesis, characterization, and deployment of novel materials. Sessions will span:
Materials, nanomaterials, composites, and thin films for environmental remediation
Biomaterials for health and the environment
Modeling and computational approaches for performance prediction
Advanced materials characterization techniques
Participants will have the opportunity to present and discuss their own work, network with leading experts, and take part in two poster sessions. Best-poster awards will recognize originality, scientific merit, and clarity of presentation. In addition to the scientific program, social events will be organized during and after the school, fostering informal discussions and cultural exchange. Places are limited; registration will close once capacity is reached.
We look forward to welcoming you to Agadir for this inspiring event.
